 ABOUT BULGARIAN BRANCH ASSOCIATION OF ELECRTONIC INDUSTRY AND INFORMATICS(BBAEII)

The Bulgarian Branch Association of Electronic Industry and Informatics (BBAEII) is a voluntary non-profit organization of companies dealing with the development, production, distribution and service maintenance of electronic and computing technics and software.

ESTABLISHED: 1992
MEMBER STAFF: Currently – 31 companies and 15 physical entities. Most of the companies are small and medium - sized enterprises, which have personnel of 10 to 100 people.
BUSINESS ACTIVITIES OF THE MEMBERS:
 Assembly and engineering of computers, computer networks and system and office equipment. 
* Development and production of electronic blocks and devices, applied in the fields of automation, robotics and measurement technics.
* Development and production of cash registers with fiscal memory and systems comprising such devices.
* Development of specialized software products for the spheres of electronic government, hotel management, finances and telecommunications - Design, development and production of automated information systems and systems for management of production processes.
* Development and production of communication devices, radio-telecommunication equipment and systems, Internet services.
* Design, production, installation and testing of various kinds of PCBs.
* Development and production of electronic components – passive and active.
* Mechanical processing and production of metal and plastic articles for the electronic industry and information technologies.
* Publishing activities in the field of information technologies.
* Service maintenance in the field of electronics, office-equipment, telecommunications, computers and computer systems. (Each one of the member companies, depending on the subject of business activity.)
MAIN AIMS AND PURPOSES OF THE BRANCH CHAMBER:
* Representation and protection of the members’ interests before the state, public and international organs and organizations during the process of formation of economical and political decisions in the sphere of electronic industry аnd informatics;
* Support for the scientific and production activities of its members in the process of strenghtening of the economics of the country, its joining to the European community and its emergence on the international markets;
* Assistance in improving the qualification for reaching high professionalism among the workers and the managing personnel in the branch;
* Assistance for the members in the modernization of enterprises and the securing of safe and healthful conditions of labor, contemporary technical and technological standard and ecologically pure work environment;
* Representation and protection of the members’ interests during the realization of the three-partition collaboration with the Government and the syndicate organizations in the branch;
MAIN ACTIVITIES AND APPROACHES OF THE BRANCH CHAMBER FOR ACHIEVING THE AIMS AND PURPOSES SET:
* Creation and maintenance of a system for exchange of technical and trade information between the members;
* Information and assistance for the participation of members in conferences, symposia and various programs, concerning the business and advance of the scientific, development and production activities, participation in auctions, fairs, exhibitions and business meetings in the country and abroad;
* Assistance for the member companies’ participation in co-operation market and meetings and search for suitable business co-operation in the country and abroad;
* Assistance for the member companies in the realization of professional education in the field of electronic industry and informatics in co-operation with the corresponding educational institutions;
* Advertising of the business of member companies by issuing a brochure  , company  catalogue    , an appropriate Web-site and other information materials; 

PARTNERSHIP
BBAEII is a partner of the Ministry of Economy and Energy, Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency, the Bulgarian Industrial Association, the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Federation of Scientific and Technical Unions, and many other national institutions.
